C++ Error When Synchronising

Symtoms

When synchronising your device a dialog appears displaying the following message:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
---------------------------
Runtime Error!
Program: ...ogram Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\DesktopMgr.exe
abnormal program termination

The Desktop Manager will then 'die' and dissapear.

Resolution

This problem normaly occurs during the PIM synchronisation.
Synchronise the device several times disabling one element of the PIM synchronisation each time in turn until you
have established which element of the synchronisation is causing the problem.

Once this has been established, remove all of the configuration settings for that element and save the configuration.
Once this has been done re-input the configuration and resave.

This should now have resolved the problem.
